This Thanksgiving-themed fashion ad appeared in the November 1967 issue of Seventeen magazine. I'm loving the dress, the stockings, the hair, the shoes and the colors .... those forked turkeys are a tad scary, though.
I grew up in the Age of Aquarius at a time when everything in our culture was rapidly evolving. A deeper person might approach that from some kind of philosophical or metaphysical perspective. Fortunately, I'm quite shallow and happily content myself with the superficial trappings of the time period. The 50's, the 60's and beyond .... baby, everything is uptight and out-of-sight!
Thanks to Eve Recinella, Christy Lyle and Zoe Pearn for permitting me to use elements from their wonderful digital scrapbooking kits "Bubble-icious" and "Electric Boogie" at Sweet Shoppe Designs to create my banner.
